Project 07
ARCH 410 – Digital Modeling & Representation
In this course, I explored advanced techniques in digital abstraction, modeling, and animation using Rhino and Grasshopper. The project began with a formal analysis of the Mollino House, where I abstracted its floor plan and reinterpreted it as a multi-story three-dimensional construct.
Through Rhino, I developed a layered spatial translation of the original layout, investigating volumetric growth and transformation. Using Grasshopper, I scripted a parametric animation driven by a rotating slicing plane, generating a dynamic sequence of frames that visualized the spinning and vertical expansion of the form. This exercise emphasized generative workflows, architectural storytelling through motion, and the power of abstraction in reimagining spatial typologies.
